Emma's Holidays

"Hallo i'm Emma again,
now I will tell you about my Holidays in Hobbiton.
We drove in a bus to the houses built for the Hobbits.
There were lots of big houses in the grass. They looked funny!
There was a man-made tree with leaves that had been painted by school children.When they were finished Peter Jackson said"They are not the right color!"
So, the children had to paint 2000 more leaves.
There was one house that we could go into and it was fascinating because the furniture was huge!
I would recommend going to Hobbiton because it is very cool if you see the movie and then go to the set."

Natureland trip

We had a great time visiting Natureland. We were lucky to go 'behind the scenes' and see the blue tongued lizard and also the baby mice.
We have made a book to go in the library at school.
Siao-Wei has written a letter to the editor of the paper because she is worried that Natureland may close.
She also wrote a letter of thanks to Natureland, so she has been busy!

2013

At the end of 2012 we said goodbye to Zyrene  and Ton Kau, who are both now attending Broadgreen Intermediate. I am sure that they are joining in as many activities as possible and really having fun! 

Anna, Zakyla, Jimmy, Jasmin and Ashla are also no longer on the ESOL roll. But they are still here at Nayland Primary, and we stay in touch.

So presently the ESOL roll has just 6 children on it - James, Neil, Mya, Tommy , Siao-Wei and 

Hao-Ren.

Siao-Wei and Hao-Ren have been lucky to spend their holidays in Taiwan and are due back on the 25th of March. They will have plenty to tell us!!

TRIP TO BROADGREEN HOUSE IN 2012

Zyrene  is   wearing  a  yoke   to  carry  buckets  of  milk.  

She and Neil and James found many things at Broadgreen House that they use in the Philippines.

Ashla is a 'puppet pal' expert!

Zyrene, Neil and Jessie are from the Philippines!  Neil and Jessie are twins. They are not used to our cold weather.

Smart Students!!

Hao-Ren and Tommy can match up the pictures with the letters very quickly! They took a photo of each other when the game was finished.

I  like  playing  water  polo  because  I  like  playing  in  a  team.
